hey i just purchased a 35002 model and will be picking it up tomorrow. the only thing is the previous owner mentioned it needs to be tuned. this confused me a little, i don't know a whole lot about Optigans but if that's the case, how do you tune an Optigan?

you tune an optigan simply by adjusting the "tempo" knob, which is really just a rotation speed control, which not only adjusts the tempo, but inevitably the pitch as well. basically, if you want to play in tune, every optigan disc has to be tuned manually with the tempo knob, as different discs were mastered at different tempi, so there's no one setting on the tempo knob at which all discs will play "in tune." it'll become clear once you try it out.
